# Make art that can be recreated

Write a program. Give each edition its own starting conditions. Let anyone recreate the work in their browser.

This artist guide covers the current Immutables.art viewer and deployed Ethereum platform. You can start in the [project wizard](/project-wizard.html) without a wallet, then connect when you are ready to publish.

## A first route through the platform

1. **Prepare your artwork.** Learn the [script inputs and lifecycle](/docs/script-api), or open a [working starter](/docs/examples).
2. **Give editions their identity.** Read [seeds and fair minting](/docs/randomness) before choosing how variation works.
3. **Make it usable.** Add [touch controls](/docs/controls) and [project styling](/docs/project-style).
4. **Preview and publish.** Follow the [wizard walkthrough](/docs/getting-started), including the checks before any paid transaction.
5. **Look after the release.** Understand [project permissions](/docs/project-admin), [royalties](/docs/royalties), and [preservation](/docs/storage).

## Three things to keep distinct

**The code page NFT** identifies an owned page on Immutables Code, currently branded Immutables.co. Code posts belong to that page's history; an individual post is not automatically a separate NFT.

**The art project** references one code-post transaction. It has its own settings, artist address and royalty manager.

**An edition NFT** belongs to the art project. Its mint transaction and edition number are inputs the viewer can use to recreate the artwork.

## Bring your coding assistant

Use the [LLM instructions](/docs/llm-guide) for a concise authoring brief. The [machine-readable index](/llms.txt) links to every Markdown chapter, and the [complete text](/llms-full.txt) provides the entire handbook in one file.

## Scope

Contract behavior is checked against the deployed platform sources. Settings such as fees, active projects and royalty rates can change; read the current values before signing. The [current/proposed feature guide](/docs/future) identifies work that is not part of the deployed artist workflow.
